L'Image Backstage Pass
In February 2009, after 30 years of pursuing individual careers that span the scope of modern musical history, 5 of the finest musicians of our time reunited "the best band you never heard" - L'Image. Although they had played together in different combinations in collaboration with other artists over the years - with scattered live appearances and most notably as the rhythm section for White Elephant - they didn't record their first official album as L'Image until 2008 - "L'Image 2.0." A few months later, Mike Mainieri, Warren Bernhardt, David Spinozza, Tony Levin and Steve Gadd got the band together and came to New York City to play their first live dates at Iridium Jazz Club. "Backstage Pass" is a bootleg mini-documentary shot from a fly-on-the-wall perspective and brought to you by a couple of us who were lucky enough to get behind the scenes. Enjoy!
